Simple and fun analog camera app with decent sharing
The best way to describe Hipstamatic is fun. It has numerous options for film, lens, and flash (effects) but few options when actually shooting. Unlike something like Camera+, it doesn't offer guides, focusing, or metering. I like the simplicity. The downside is that it can be hard to see and frame your shot in the small viewfinder. The viewfinder can be zoomed to take up the whole screen, but to take the photo you just have to tap on it and then it becomes small again.
Hipstamatic's sharing features are also good. Sharing to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc. is pretty quick and easy. I also like the integration of the Hipstamart, where you can order prints of your photos. My only quibble is that Hipstamatic took days (literally) to accept my credit card information/Hipstamart user account. Ultimately, I had to sign up on the web site and reinstall the app. After that, it's been smooth sailing, and I'm very happy with the quality of my prints.
Hipstamatic is one of my favorite camera apps at this point. It's not too expensive, has some great analog-like features, and is easy to share with.
