Instagram is easy to take photos with, and it's equally easy to share the photos with the community. Taking photos only takes a two taps, but there can sometimes be a longer-than-usual delay processing the photo, for which I knock off one orange. Many people criticize Instagram for promoting quick and easy filters instead of attention to composition and photographic principles, but those criticisms miss what the app really offers: an accessible community and encouragement to regularly look through the camera lens.
