The user interface of Handbrake is too complicated to recommend to people unfamiliar with video transcoding. And for some reason, Handbrake still doesn't let you convert groups of videos at once; instead, you have to add videos one-by-one. But Handbrake is the most efficient and reliable transcoder I've ever used, so I'm sticking with it.

4 Clunky but reliable
